Assign line managers in Okta
Assign line managers to Perk users from Okta using the lineManagerEmail field — Perk's alternative to the standard SCIM manager field Okta doesn't support.
Use this guide to assign line managers to users in Perk via Okta. Since Okta doesn't support a standardized manager field, Perk provides lineManagerEmail as an alternative.
The standard SCIM manager field expects the Perk user ID of the manager—this works with other identity providers, but isn't available in Okta by default.
Okta's manager field is a plain text field that typically contains the manager's work email address, so Perk provides lineManagerEmail (the email address of the user's manager used to sign into the Perk platform) to handle this.
Prerequisites

- Okta administrator access.
Setting up lineManagerEmail in Okta

- Click Go to Profile Editor.
- Click Add Attribute.
- Enter the following values:

lineManagerEmailis configured in Okta but not set on a specific user, Okta sendsnullto Perk, which removes that user's line manager. Make sure you set up a default approval process so all travelers go through an approval process before booking.
