Booking inventory in the sandbox

To assist with the creation of trips, for testing Expense and Invoice collection or for gathering trip information, we have fake booking capabilities available in the Sandbox environment.

The inventory available in the sandbox is sample data and when using it, you are not booking real inventory with our providers or paying for it. You can only select specific inventory to complete a booking process.

Follow the test cases provided to complete reservations. Currently we only support the use of Euro's in our Sandbox environment. The use of any other currency is not yet supported and will result in stalled searches. Instructions on how to update your currency can be found here

Booking flight services

To complete a flight booking, you can only select one offer from Vueling.

On the Home page, search for the following flight:
From: Barcelona (BCN) To: Madrid (MAD), Round trip, any date in the future, Economy class.

• Add a traveler
• Search for the specified flight
• From the results page, pick the Vueling offer of 102€ (£91, $120). That will be the only working inventory for flights.
• Complete the booking process. You might have to introduce a payment method if not set up already.

Booking hotel services

To complete a hotel booking, you can select any of the options from the search results.
You will notice that you will always see the same hotel when selecting any offer. This is expected, and it will allow you to complete the process.

Amending Hotels

Our Sandbox environment allows you to test automated amendments of hotels, please create the trip.created/updated or invoice.created/updated event subscriptions in your account then book any hotel and then use the manage trip functionality to amend the dates of the hotel booking, this will result in a new hotel booking on the trip calling any of the registered webhook subscriptions.

Booking Car hire

Search for car hire in "Barcelona, Spain", drop off at same location, with a multi-day range. You will see multiple search results. Select any one and book the trip. You will end up with a booking that says: 2 days rental in Barcelona €128.99 Tuesday Apr 17th-19th 2029

Booking trains

Search for return trains from Paris Gare Du Nord to Paris Gare De Lyon for any future date/time. The dates of the returned trains will match whatever you searched for, however the times of the returned trains will always be the same.

The total cost of your outbound and inbound journeys should add up to €65 - any more or less than this will trigger a price change warning when you go to book your train. You will still be able to book the train but it will just add an extra step to the process. Depending on your currency settings it may not be clear which trains you should select to reach this total. Choose the following options to hit the correct amount.

For the outbound train there is one option - select standard class.

For the inbound train, select the 7:40 option, standard class.
